The 3 pieces above in the homemade series are collages with acrylic painted portraitures. Each portrait is mounted on the bib of a white vintage embellished apron, floating in a white shadow box. 41 inches high X 23 inches wide. Women ruminating on world issues is the theme. Below is a view of the aprons in an installation. (Note: dark apron in the view below is not available.) $3000 Each.

American Manufactured Vacation, Juarez Suitcase, 2004
“American Manufactured Vacation, Juarez Suitcase” is an installation regarding the NAFTA Maquilas of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. It was created for an exhibit curated by Judy Chicago in Pomona, California, 2004, part of an artist in residency with Ms. Chicago. The exhibit was called Envisioning the Future. “American Manufactured Vacation, Juarez Suitcase” is 22 x 18 inches and 26 inches high, when open. Inside the suitcase is a small bill-board/postcard acrylic painting. The Juarez woman’s shoes hold the victims, all in white dresses, all young, all similar, all with pink crosses on their bodices. Their NAFTA maquila time cards are buried in the sand.

This limited serigraph was printed at Self Help Graphics & Art in Los Angeles and was part of Communication Threads & Entwined Recollections, a textile inspired silk screen print atelier curated by Victoria Delgadillo. It is 36 inches wide by 27 inches high. 40 prints in total of “Bolsa de Mercado” were created.
